Manifesto

Your memory outlives every model.

Your memory stays with you.

What we doWhat we do not do
Append facts with their sourceReplace your source notes
Surface contradictions for reviewSilently choose a winner
Preserve superseded historyDelete the past to make the index tidy
Keep the store on your diskMake a hosted account the source of truth

AI models change every six months. Your decisions do not.

A model is a tool you may replace. The reasoning, constraints, and choices behind your work belong to you. They should survive a new model, a new editor, and a new subscription.

nautli gives connected AI clients one local record. Each fact keeps its source. When two claims disagree, nautli raises a question instead of quietly rewriting the past.

Your answer becomes the current fact. The older fact remains in history, so a changed decision stays legible rather than looking like an error.

Memory should be portable, inspectable, and governed by the person whose work it represents. That is the boundary we build around.
